At the core of my therapeutic philosophy is the belief that everyone deserves compassion, respect, and understanding. Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for my clients is paramount, akin to conversing with a trusted friend, albeit a professional one. I am committed to fostering a “no judgment zone” where individuals can express themselves freely, laying the foundation for a strong therapeutic alliance.
My passion lies in making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents and their families. I bring with me a wealth of experience from my 13-year career as a certified teacher and an unyielding commitment to fostering mental health and well-being.

In the realm of psychotherapy, my main modalities include Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, I emphasize psychoeducation through group classes, particularly in areas such as Social Emotional Learning (SEL). I firmly believe that education plays a pivotal role in mental health, and empowering individuals with knowledge can be transformative.
My experiences as an educator have instilled in me the understanding that each person is unique, requiring an individualized approach to therapy. In my teaching career, I cherished the rapport I built with my students, often finding myself drawn to addressing mental health concerns more than academic challenges. Transitioning to psychotherapy has allowed me to channel my passion for helping people overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
A key aspect of my professional development is rooted in cultural awareness. Having lived overseas, I gained invaluable insights into different cultures, enhancing my ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. This global perspective enriches my practice as a mental health professional and reinforces my commitment to lifelong learning.
Education & Training
My educational journey began with the pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Education, and over the years, I have acquired diverse academic certifications spanning Early Childhood to 12th grade, including Special Education. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of working with children aged 10 to 16, encompassing individuals with intellectual disabilities, neurotypical, and neurodivergent profiles. This broad spectrum of experiences has ignited my passion for specializing in Adolescence and aspiring to become a Youth Mental Health Specialist.
My journey from education to mental health has been driven by a deep-seated desire to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves. I am dedicated to providing a personalized and compassionate approach to therapy, recognizing the uniqueness of each client. My goal remains clear: to help others discover their inherent strengths and resilience, paving the way for a brighter and more fulfilling future.
