“I have come to believe that caring for myself is not self indulgent. Caring for myself is an act of survival.” — Audre Lorde

Who I am:

Life can feel overwhelming at times, and seeking support is a courageous first step. Therapy offers a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, how you think, feel, and function, and to address the challenges that may be holding you back. My role is to provide a safe space for you to work through life’s struggles and develop a path forward.

As a therapist I strive to meet you where you are, offering an open minded, nonjudgemental presence that allows you to feel truly seen and heard. Through my warmth, curiosity, and active listening, I aim to foster a collaborative space where you feel empowered to explore your thoughts and emotions, develop self-awareness, establish goals, and learn new skills that lead to meaningful healing. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward self growth and well-being.

What I do:

As a counselor, I believe you are the expert in your own life, even if you’re unsure or find it difficult to access your thoughts and feelings. I’ll create a safe, supportive environment where you can freely explore your inner world at your own pace, without judgment. In addition, I use techniques from acceptance commitment therapy to help clarify your values and goals and build practical strategies for lasting change. I am deeply committed to understanding your unique story.

“You have within you right now everything you need to deal with whatever the world can throw at you.” — Brian Tracy

I work with a variety of adult populations and enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ community, as well as people that struggle with anxiety, and assertiveness deficits (aka people pleasing). It can be hard to prioritize your own needs, especially if you’re used to putting others first or feel uncomfortable setting boundaries. We can explore where these patterns come from and work on building confidence to create healthier, more balanced relationships. I also enjoy working with:

  • Women’s issues
  • Life Transitions
  • Body Image
  • Relationship Issues
  • People of Color
  • Feelings of Guilt/Shame
  • Self Esteem
  • Feelings of apathy or defeat.
  • Dissociation

I provide empathetic, person-centered therapy with integrated acceptance and commitment techniques to support clients with anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, distress tolerance, and other challenges.

Therapy doesn’t have to be about addressing just one specific issue. It can just be a space to explore, grow, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you’re facing a particular challenge or simply seeking a deeper understanding of your emotions and experiences, it’s important to feel truly seen by your therapist. I am here to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can feel supported and understood.

Education & Training:

I completed my undergraduate studies at The University of St. Thomas, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During this time I developed a deep interest in understanding mental health and the factors that contribute to personal growth and well-being.

After graduating, I worked as a patient coordinator for Gulf Coast Brain & Spine Institute, a role that allowed me to collaborate closely with patients and healthcare providers. This experience deepened my understanding of the healthcare system and strengthened my skills in communication, empathy, and patient advocacy. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Houston Clear Lake Campus.

Outside the office, I enjoy reading, playing with my cats, painting, crafting, and practicing yoga.
