“It’s impossible to grow without first becoming vulnerable.”
Thank you for taking the first step in your counseling experience. Counseling is a very personal and vulnerable experience. I aim to provide a safe place for you to be authentic and share your story.
Everyone’s experience is unique, and I look forward to learning more about you and your story.
What I Do:
As a graduate intern, I work with a variety of populations. I have previous experience as an intern with a Domestic Violence Center. My role in that position included working with women and their families to create and maintain healthy and safe relationships. I also have experience as a Substance Abuse Counseling practicum student. In this position, I worked with men and women age 15+ who faced challenges stemming from and around substance use.
Education & Training:
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education Sciences from the University of Florida. After taking a moment in 2020 to contemplate where my story would go next, I returned to school. While I am very passionate about education and the challenges facing our educational system, my true passion has always been in mental health. I received my Occupational Certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling from San Jacinto College in 2022. I am currently a graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at the University of Houston – Clear Lake.
