Hey You! Have you been feeling stuck lately? Tired of being strong? Are life’s issues starting to take a toll on you? Are there times you just feel defeated? Well, you’ve come to the right place. You are not alone. WE have all struggled in this thing called life at some point but that doesn’t mean we have to stay there. Let me help you! My role as your therapist is to work alongside you to help you figure out and understand these situations, getting down to the root cause of your difficulties. We will work on developing certain skill sets that will help you overcome obstacles and allow you to gain back control of your life.
What I do:
I work with individuals who struggle with being overwhelmed, anxiety, low self-esteem/confidence. I am also a veteran of the Army, which means I specialize in depression and PTSD – I understand the struggle of those dealing with physical and mental wounds. My goal is to provide you with the tools to push you to be your absolute best.
I specialize in Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety and Depression. My practices consist of Cognitive Processing Training, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
You have the power to change your life, which is where our therapeutic relationship begins. I would love the opportunity to help you pave your way towards healing and wholeness. My ultimate goal is to empower you to become your best self. You are the author of your story, don’t let anyone else hold the pen!
Education & Training
I earned my second Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest and completed a graduate internship at New Dimensions Day Treatment Center for Adolescents and New Life Transitions Counseling Center. I earned my first Masters degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon Christian University. I was called to be a helper long before entering the mental health field in 2008.
I am a veteran of the US Army, serving two tours in Iraq as a Human Intelligence Collector. I worked within the Criminal Justice system for 8 years before pursuing my natural calling as a helper, serving Galveston County as a parole officer specifically specializing in the rehabilitation of offenders who suffered from substance abuse.
My passion is empowering others to live their truth and embracing the journey that makes us who we are. I enjoy reading, community service and time with my family.
